Transporter-15 carried 140 payloads into orbit, making SD-003 part of another substantial commercial rideshare mission.
SD-003 launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, USA, as part of SpaceX’s Transporter-15 mission.
StardustMe’s memorial payload travelled aboard D-Orbit’s ION SCV021 satellite carrier, Stellar Stephanus.
Following launch, Stellar Stephanus was released into a Sun-synchronous low Earth orbit at approximately 510 kilometres above Earth.
From there, the spacecraft began its independent mission carrying the StardustMe memorial payload.

Mission SD-003 remains operational in orbit today aboard Stellar Stephanus.
