Our specially designed memorial token, containing a symbolic portion of a departed’s ashes, quietly orbits the Earth for up to 5 years whilst family and friends can follow this journey through the stars using a mobile tracker. In a last poetic moment, the spacecraft harmlessly re-enters the Earth’s atmosphere, blazing as a shooting star.

Your funeral home will organise the ashes to be sent to New Zealand. The token is tested by Auckland University Space Institute. Each token is individually prepared to have the initials or name of your choice, up to 18 characters, elegantly engraved on its cap.

All components have been designed and engineered for the space environment. The structure and token are made of space-grade materials, using modern processes such as CNC machining and 3D printing. All components and materials meet SpaceX requirements and have been used in past NASA flights.

The launch will take place at either Cape Canaveral or Vandenberg in a SpaceX Falcon 9 reusable rocket. This fantastic and unique event will be webcasted. After the spacecraft is deployed, you will receive a details attesting the success of the launch, including the official spacecraft tracking ID assigned by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).

The token containing the ashes will orbit the earth for up to 5 years in a state-of-the-art satellite, travelling at around 20,000 km per hour. Eventually, in a breath-taking finale, the token will harmlessly re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere, blazing as a shooting star. leaving no debris.
